Maribeth (Wagging Tail Academy) , has owned, loved, shown and trained dogs her entire life. In 2005 her frustrated husband accused her of “retiring into her hobby” when she gave up the world of high tech and became an accredited dog trainer. She began her professional dog training career working for a national chain, both training human (and humane!) dog trainers in the New England area, and entertaining classrooms full of happy and satisfied Pet Parents as they trained their beloved dogs.
Maribeth uses positive reinforcement techniques – if you’re looking for a choke, prong, or electric collar she is not for you! If you want to forge a strong bond with your dog built on trust, then she IS the trainer for you!
Maribeth offers private classes in your home, or at the place where dog behaviors need to be modified. In addition, Maribeth teaches a wide variety of classes at Saltyclaws. She is an evaluator for the American Kennel Club, and teaches classes for STAR Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, and Community Canine. She is also an evaluator the for the Association of Professional Dog Trainer’s Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) programs, and teaches the Bachelor, Master and PhD level courses.
